Volleyball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem lost against Mountain Grove back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Salem Tigers lost 3-0 to the Mountain Grove Panthers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Salem ultimately came up short, they really made Mountain Grove work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 26-24, 25-15.

Addison Fulton paced Salem's offense, picking up 12 kills. Fulton got some help from Reagan Dubois and her 12 assists. Fulton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 7-22-2. As for Mountain Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-3-1 record this season.

Salem has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Cuba on the 22nd. Mountain Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
