Basketball Recap: Hedgesville Falls Short of Jefferson in the Playoffs

Hedgesville and Jefferson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hedgesville had to settle for second. They lost to the Jefferson Cougars on the road by a 45-28 margin. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 50-42.

Hedgesville's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Jefferson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Hedgesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Jefferson Cougars take on Spring Mills Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They will need to watch out since Spring Mills has now posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.
