Game recap: Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter High School Football Team tops Tipton

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter (Indianapolis, Ind.) received a huge boost from its defense against Tipton (Ind.), as the unit scored 12 in defeating Tipton (Ind.), 56-6.

After taking the lead on a Jake Purichia touchdown run in the first quarter, the Raiders led 41-7 at the half.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter grew its lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. ICR's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by Logan Beaman.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's Purichia scored two touchdowns on the ground in the victory.

Tipton's lone touchdown came on a 37-yard run by Austin Hooker in the second quarter.



The Blue Devils came in allowing just 13.4 points per game this season. Tipton had a hard time against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's offense, which entered the game scoring 40.6 points per game. The Raiders came in allowing an average of 20.4 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding THS well below its season average of 28.8 points scored per game.

The loss comes after Tipton defeated Rensselaer Central 27-0 last week.
