Baseball Game Preview: Green Bobcats vs. Newark Catholic Green Wave

The Green Bobcats will challenge the Newark Catholic Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Green sitting on four straight victories and Newark Catholic on ten.

Green is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Sunday. They had just enough and edged out Whiteoak 5-4.

Green saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Knapp, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Blake Smith was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Eight must be Newark Catholic's lucky number: they beat Danville with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Green Wave beat the Blue Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. The Green Wave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Green's record is now 18-5. As for Newark Catholic, their record now sits at 19-9.
