Basketball Game Preview: Wray Eagles vs. Akron Rams

The Wray Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Akron Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wray's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

Last Thursday, Wray had just enough and edged Wiggins out 59-57.

Meanwhile, Akron hadn't done well against Merino recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Akron walked away with a 52-41 victory over Merino. The win made it back-to-back victories for Akron.

Wray's record is now 7-12. As for Akron, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Wray took their win against Akron in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 65-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wray since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
