It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Steele Canyon can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Lincoln Hornets on Wednesday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Steele Canyon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-20.

Taylor Carpenter paced Steele Canyon's offense, picking up 13 kills. Carpenter got some help from Chloe Stock and her 15 assists. Finally, Tiana Baker kept Steele Canyon's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Isabela Porfirio was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Steele Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 15-15.
