Recap: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Hollins Royals

The Pinellas Park Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Hollins 79-43. Pinellas Park has not had much luck with Hollins recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Hollins' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Miller, who scored 21 points along with six steals and five assists. Miller is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Castallani, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Pinellas Park dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home. As for Hollins, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Pinellas Park will head out on the road to square off against Osceola at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hollins won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gibbs at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Gibbs is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
