Baseball Game Preview: Marion County Knights vs. Campbellsville Eagles

For the second straight game, Marion County will face off against Campbellsville. The Knights will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marion County came into this matchup off a tough nine-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Campbellsville by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Campbellsville's part, Reece Swafford tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave Swafford a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Jack Ellis was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
