Basketball Recap: Amory Takes a Loss

Amory lost against Shannon back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Amory Panthers took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shannon Red Raiders. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amory's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Shannon, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Amory and Shannon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. Amory (ranked 222nd) will meet Itawamba Agricultural (ranked 68th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shannon will challenge Tishomingo County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 148 places (154 vs. 6).
