Haines City lost against Davenport on September 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets came up short against the Broncos, falling 3-0. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Haines City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samantha Valentin had eight digs and two aces. Valentin has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Haines City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Davenport, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Haines City has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Discovery on the 24th. As for Davenport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Poinciana Christian Preparatory on the 24th.
