Cleveland put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Clayton Comets by a score of 19-12. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina flag football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Comets are ranked 33rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Cleveland's victory came down to the chemistry between Izzy Sholar and her top target Karsyn Hudacky. Sholar threw for 139 yards and two TDs while Hudacky picked up 61 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Cleveland's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Clayton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cleveland and Clayton will both be playing South Johnston the next time they take the field. The Rams will head out to face the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
