Baseball Game Preview: Banning Broncos vs. Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles

The Banning Broncos will head out on the road to square off against the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Banning is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Banning's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Desert Hot Springs.

The result came thanks to Sebastian Osornio's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Banning got a massive performance out of Trevor Eisman, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Eisman has posted since back in April of 2024. Cody Gutierrez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Banning was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Banning's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Desert Hot Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
