Football Game Preview: Timpview Thunderbirds vs. Wasatch Wasps + Official Tickets

Timpview is a perfect 4-0 against Wasatch since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wasps at 6:00 p.m. Timpview will be strutting in after a victory while Wasatch will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Timpview took their matchup with ease, bagging a 34-7 win over Spanish Fork. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Timpview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taani Tuha led the charge by rushing for 140 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Tuha a new career-high. Timpview also got help from Dennis Tuaone, who showed off his sure hands for 247 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Wasatch took a blow against Springville on Wednesday, falling 38-10. The loss continues a trend for the Wasps in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost five in a row.

Wasatch's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Timpview, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Timpview strolled past Wasatch when the teams last played back in September by a score of 33-14. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Wasps have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
