McClatchy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They skirted past the West Park Panthers 9-7. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 7-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Antonio Barber was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Zevi Pruger also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

McClatchy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for West Park, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

McClatchy will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Park: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
