Baseball Recap: Union City Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Union City kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 4-1 to the North East Grape Pickers. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Grape Pickers: they've now lost three in a row.

Union City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevin Capela, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The win keeps North East at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union City will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Cambridge Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North East, they will host Erie at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
