Tushka comes up short despite Tagen Simon's strong performance

The Tushka Tigers and the Bennington Bears squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Tushka Tigers had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Bears. Tushka was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bennington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Tushka lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tagen Simon. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals. That was a full 44.2% of Tushka's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kason Hull, who scored seven points along with two steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Tushka and nudges their season record down to 11-14. As for Bennington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Tushka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bennington also has no future games currently scheduled.
