Recap: Chowchilla Tribe vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds
The Chowchilla Tribe entered their tilt with the Kennedy Thunderbirds with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Chowchilla came out on top against Kennedy by a score of 43-30 on Friday.
Chowchilla got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Deatherage out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Deatherage's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Zayne Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 3 steals.
Chowchilla's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chowchilla will take on Dos Palos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dos Palos is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Kennedy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Paso Robles at 11:00 a.m.
