Seton Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over the Fort Vancouver Trappers. Considering the Cougars have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryker Ruelas was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Graham Dumas was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Seton Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Seton Catholic's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Vancouver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic will square off against Castle Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fort Vancouver, they will take on Columbia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trappers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
