Preview: Timpson Bears vs. Garrison Bulldogs
Timpson is 6-1 against Garrison since October of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Timpson Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Garrison Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Timpson extended their postseason success on Friday against Honey Grove. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 68-7 win over the Warriors. The victory was just business as usual for Timpson, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Meanwhile, Garrison's offense rose to the challenge against a Bulldogs defense that boasted an average of only 17.31 points allowed. Garrison blew past Cooper 47-20 at home. The victory was nothing new for Garrison as they're now sitting on three straight.
Garrison's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Javien Black, who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Brayden Davidson was another key contributor, throwing for 65 yards and three touchdowns.
Timpson's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Garrison, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Timpson beat Garrison 35-26 when the teams last played on November 3rd. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Garrison's Davidson, who threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
