Recap: Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers vs. St. Peter's Eagles

They managed a 20-14 victory over St. Peter's. For Mt. St. Michael Academy, this counts as revenge for the 42-18 loss St. Peter's walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2018.
Leading Mt. St. Michael Academy to victory were Nelson Perez and Carl Shaw. Perez rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown, while Shaw gained 90 total yards and two touchdowns.
Although St. Peter's took the loss, they still got scores from Matthew Sweeney and Jeremiah Williams.
Mt. St. Michael Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1. Despite that those good results, the team's offense hasn't been rolling: across that stretch, they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for St. Peter's, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Mt. St. Michael Academy will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Mt. St. Michael Academy is ranked 101st). As for St. Peter's, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Holy Cross at 12:30 p.m.
