Basketball Recap: Hidden Valley Falls Short of Staunton River in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hidden Valley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Staunton River Golden Eagles by a score of 39-36 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 36th).

Hidden Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. Staunton River's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

Hidden Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Staunton River, they have already played their next contest, a 58-43 victory against Magna Vista on the 27th.
