Softball Game Preview: Shekinah Christian Flames vs. Tree of Life Christian Trojans

The Shekinah Christian Flames will challenge the Tree of Life Christian Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Two weeks ago, Shekinah Christian came up short against Harvest Prep and fell 19-16.

Ali Troyer led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hannah Yutzy, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tree of Life Christian waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 14-8 win. Considering the Trojans have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Tree of Life Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Shekinah Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Shekinah Christian might still be hurting after the 20-10 loss they got from Tree of Life Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024.
