Baseball Recap: Fryeburg Falls Short of Greely in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fryeburg can now relate to. They fell just short of the Greely Rangers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rangers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

David Rosales made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The defeat snapped Fryeburg's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record. As for Greely, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Fryeburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greely, they will square off against Ellsworth at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Rangers surely won't give up without a fight.
