Softball Recap: Battery Creek Comes Up Short

Battery Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the West Ashley Wildcats. If the Dolphins were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Battery Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stella Schubert, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Battery Creek now has a losing record of 4-5. As for West Ashley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Coming up, Battery Creek will take on Oceanside Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Ashley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Summerville on the 4th.
