Baseball Recap: Bonita Triumphs

Bonita won the last time they faced Santiago and things went their way on Friday too. The Bearcats came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Ryder Gibson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Josh Angely was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

Bonita's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Santiago, their record now sits at 9-5.

Coming up, Bonita will be playing in front of their home fans against Temecula Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Santiago, they will be taking part in a tournament against Great Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
