Basketball Recap: Farmersville Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

While Farmersville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Pewitt Brahmas by a score of 67-57 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Farmers.

Pewitt lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Wooda Betts, who went 9 of 21 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Green, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Farmersville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Pewitt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Coincidentally, Farmersville and Pewitt will both be playing Liberty-Eylau the next time they take the court. Pewitt will head out to face Liberty-Eylau at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while Farmersville will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
