Basketball Recap: Larned Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Larned won the last time they faced Nickerson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Larned Indians walked away with a 47-40 win over the Nickerson Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Despite the loss, Nickerson still got an impressive performance from Garrett Crossman, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Crossman a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashawn Walker, who posted six points.

Larned's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. As for Nickerson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larned will face off against Halstead at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nickerson, they will square off against Smoky Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nickerson is facing Smoky Valley at the right time seeing as Smoky Valley is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
