Baseball Recap: Clinton Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clinton Central can now relate to. They lost 13-3 to the Clinton Prairie Gophers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gophers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in May.

Clinton Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Davison, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Clinton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Clinton Prairie, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

As of now, neither Clinton Central nor the Gophers have any future games scheduled.
