Softball Game Preview: Elgin Wildcats vs. East View Patriots

The Elgin Wildcats will take on the East View Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Elgin took on Pflugerville Connally on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 15-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, while East View put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pflugerville Connally. The Patriots put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

East View is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Elgin, their victory bumped their record up to 10-16.
