Basketball Recap: Hammond Central Find Success

Hammond Central lost to Hammond Bishop Noll back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Hammond Central Wolves secured a 70-64 W over the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Hammond Central had a senior duo take command as Marcus Browder went 10 for 20 en route to 24 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds and Gregory Dotson went 9 of 14 on his way to 20 points along with eight boards and five assists. The game was Browder's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Naeem Pete, who posted eight points.

Loss or not, Hammond Bishop Noll got some senior leadership from Isaiah Manley and Khalel Johnson. Manley earned 29 points, while Johnson had 19 points.

Hammond Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Hammond Central will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chesterton at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will head out to challenge Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
