Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal Gibbons). They claimed a resounding 66-25 win over the Sanderson Spartans. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Cardinal Gibbons got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Charlotte Fusco out in front who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Sarah Maciariello also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Sanderson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Stephens, who posted six points. Stella Puckett was another key player, putting up seven points.

Cardinal Gibbons' victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Sanderson, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

Cardinal Gibbons wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-23 win against Enloe on the 31st. As for Sanderson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-12 loss against Athens Drive on the 31st.
