Soccer Game Preview: Fike vs. Croatan

The Fike Demons will face off against the Croatan Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Croatan better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Fike's game on Monday is any indication, that's when Fike really gets things going. The Demons blew past Lee County 5-1. The result was nothing new for Fike, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Croatan and Northside - Jacksonville finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

The Cougars' goal came courtesy of Addison DeGeorge, who's now up to five this season.

Fike has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those nine contests. Croatan's draw gives them a new season record of 8-6-7.

Fike beat Croatan 2-0 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Demons repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
