Iola suffered their biggest defeat since December 17, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Wellsville Eagles, falling 54-33. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Wellsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
