Basketball Recap: 15 Straight Home Wins for Marion Local

Marion Local had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Coldwater Cavaliers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Flyers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Marion Local pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Coldwater, they moved to 16-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Marion Local will face off against Miami Valley Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami Valley Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Marion Local surely won't give up without a fight.
