 The Flagstaff Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Flagstaff: 3.6, Salpointe Catholic: 3.5) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 Flagstaff took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Poston Butte  5-4.
  Luke Hewes was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jake Carpenter, who  went 2-for-5 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic entered their tilt with Walden Grove with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Red Wolves  on Saturday and snuck past  3-1.
  Shawn Barros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side, Salpointe Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lucas Shannon, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Flagstaff pushed their record up to 22-6 with that  win, which was their ninth straight  at home. As for Salpointe Catholic, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-6-1 record  this season.
 Both  the pair just can't seem to miss. Flagstaff has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.2  hits per game. However, it's not like Salpointe Catholic struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 4.7. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Flagstaff might still be hurting after the  10-1 loss they got from Salpointe Catholic  when the teams last played  back in April of 2022. Thankfully for Flagstaff,  Robert Lopez (who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched) won't be suiting up this time.
