Basketball Recap: V.R. Eaton Comes Up Short

After soaring to 66 points the game before, V.R. Eaton was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost to the Southlake Carroll Dragons at home by a 42-25 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Dragons are ranked 124th).

V.R. Eaton's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Southlake Carroll, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

V.R. Eaton is taking a road trip to face off against Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron Nelson will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something V.R. Eaton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southlake Carroll, they will host Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southlake Carroll is facing Northwest at the right time seeing as Northwest is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
