Basketball Recap: Anthony Campos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Metro Tech over Fairfax

Metro Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fairfax Stampede, falling 69-43. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stampede from their previous meeting back in February.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Campos, who posted eight points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Campos a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Yahir Monroy, who had five points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Metro Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Fairfax, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Metro Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-44 defeat against Alhambra on the 17th. As for Fairfax, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-41 loss against Central on the 16th.
