Basketball Game Preview: Coram Deo Academy Warriors vs. Pathway Christian Panthers

The Coram Deo Academy Warriors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Pathway Christian Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Coram Deo Academy made easy work of Tri-State Christian and carried off a 66-44 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pathway Christian). They walked away with a 49-39 win over Morning Star Academy on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Coram Deo Academy better keep an eye on Denver Nelson. He was instrumental in Pathway Christian's win, shooting 45% from the field to rack up 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Nelson has scored at least a third of the Panthers' points. Another player making a difference was Ian Shetler, who posted seven points.

Pathway Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Coram Deo Academy, their record now sits at 7-2.
