Softball Recap: Southern Cayuga Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Southern Cayuga dropped their record down to 9-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell 9-6 to the Moravia Blue Devils. Surprisingly, this marked the Chiefs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Moravia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.

For Moravia's part, their victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ella Green, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Davida Jackson was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

While Southern Cayuga had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
