Softball Game Preview: Marshall County Tigers vs. Centennial Cougars

The Marshall County Tigers will head out to face off against the Centennial Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marshall County will be strutting in after a win while Centennial will be coming in after a defeat.

Marshall County proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 15) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Zion Christian Academy 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since May 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Independence. Cougars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Wednesday.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Marshall County, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.
