Softball Recap: Holly Takes a Loss

If Holly was feeling good fresh off their 11-3 takedown of Kearsley on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bronchos took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets on Wednesday.

Lauren Elliot stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Evelyn Miller also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Holly's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Detroit Country Day, their record now sits at 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly will welcome Fenton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bronchos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Detroit Country Day, they will host Warren Woods-Tower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
