Luther Prep entered their tilt with Living Word Lutheran on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Timberwolves by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Phoenix, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Luther Prep was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 16-25, 25-18.

Lorelei Candler paced Luther Prep's offense, picking up 15 kills. Candler got some help from Lydia Vasold and her 17 assists. Candler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Luther Prep's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Living Word Lutheran, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 17-3 record.

Coming up, Luther Prep will take on Manitowoc Lutheran at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Living Word Lutheran, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sun Prairie West at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
