Baseball Recap: Foard Triumphs

Foard was handed a nine-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Hibriten Panthers 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

The team relied heavily on Landon Setzer, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Aiden Vogel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Foard's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Hibriten, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Foard wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Statesville on the 18th. As for Hibriten, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-2 victory against Freedom on the 18th.
