Volleyball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

Arlington lost against John Jay back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Admirals fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. While the Admirals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-19 in the first set.

Arlington took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 15-6.

Caroline Urso paced Arlington's offense, picking up ten kills. Urso were helped by Amelia Giorgi and Sadie Murphy, who contributed 14 assists each.

Arlington now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for John Jay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Arlington will venture away from home to challenge Walter Panas at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for John Jay, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Croton-Harmon on the 11th.
