Soccer Game Preview: Long Trail vs. Poultney

Long Trail and Poultney are an even 4-4-1 against one another since October of 2018, but likely not for long. Long Trail will welcome Poultney at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

While Long Trail's win against Mt. St. Joseph Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Long Trail skirted past Mt. St. Joseph Academy 5-4. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Long Trail's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Poultney hadn't done well against Proctor recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Phantoms 2-1.
