Baseball Recap: Fort Lupton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Arrupe Jesuit last Thursday, Fort Lupton came back down to earth. The Bluedevils came up short against the Frederick Golden Eagles on Saturday, falling 22-2.

Javier Ortiz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Fort Lupton has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Frederick, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Lupton will venture away from home to take on Englewood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frederick, they will head out to challenge Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
