Softball Recap: Triton Trojans vs. Culver Community Cavaliers

Triton had lost 18 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-17 to make it 19. They lost 13-3 to the Culver Community Cavaliers. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Triton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jillian Bules, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Culver Community, they now have a winning record of 10-9. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won nine matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

On Culver Community's side, Savannah Schlemmer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Schlemmer has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triton will face off against North Judson-San Pierre at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bluejays will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Culver Community, they will square off against Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
