Football Recap: Fair Grove Comes Up Short

Fair Grove and Clever pushed the score to 61-21 the last time they played Clever, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 13-10. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

The critical scores for Clever came from Quintin Lemmer and Lucas Peebles.

Fair Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Clever, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fair Grove will challenge rival Springfield Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clever is set to square off against their familiar foe Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
