Volleyball Game Preview: Ceres Bulldogs vs. Pacheco Panthers + How To Watch

Ceres is 2-8 against Pacheco since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Panthers at 6:30 p.m.

Ceres is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since August 26th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Lathrop. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

While Ceres was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lathrop's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Pacheco earned a 3-1 win over Johansen on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Pacheco had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Ceres better keep an eye on Graciela Welker. She was instrumental in Pacheco's win, getting seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Welker has posted since back in September.

Pacheco was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Pacheco's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Ceres, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
