Basketball Recap: Grovetown Finds Home Court Redemption Against Greenbrier

There's no place like home for Grovetown, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 47-39 win over the Greenbrier Wolfpack on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Asunti Porter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 of 13 en route to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Middleton, who posted 12 points.

Grovetown's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Greenbrier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grovetown will venture away from home to square off against Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenbrier, they are taking a road trip to challenge Effingham County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier is facing Effingham County at the right time seeing as Effingham County is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
